As part of Music For Canberra’s Open Days, we’re inviting young musicians to come and try out the Canberra Youth Orchestras program — a dynamic and supportive place to grow as an ensemble player.

🎵 Louise Butler Strings (beginner string players) – 8:45am–10:30am
🎶 McCusker Strings (intermediate string players) – 8:45am–12:00pm
🎼 Canberra Youth Orchestra (advanced strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion) – 8:45am–10:30am

Whether you’re new to orchestras or ready to take on more advanced repertoire, there’s an ensemble for every stage. Come meet our inspiring conductors, play alongside other young musicians, and discover what it’s like to be part of a musical team.

No auditions on the day, no pressure — just come along and enjoy!
